  • Several roles available - local government (Council) - Southeastern Sydney area

  • Temporary role with immediate start available for approx. 3 to 4 months

  • Potential for extension and | or permanency

  • 2-person patrols where you will drive in a company vehicle to your designated area

  • Great role if you enjoy being amongst the local community

  • Fortnightly rotating roster from 6am to 11pm including weekend work

  • $38 to $40 per hour + super + penalty rates + uniform

You Role:

You will be part of a two-person patrol team responsible for providing enforcement of parking legislation in the community by detecting breaches of the relevant Acts and Regulations.

Some key accountabilities include:

  • Issue warnings and | or penalty infringement notices in accordance with Council’s enforcement policy.

  • Obtain vehicle owner information from Roads and Maritime Services as required, to facilitate the issuing of penalty infringement notices.

  • Present evidence in Court in relation to enforcement action instituted by Council.

  • Promote the positive and collaborative culture and values of the organisation through open, fair and transparent decision making and ethical, professional behaviour.

  • Work in collaboration with and assist the team, manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Parking Officer preferred

  • Strong customer service & communication skills and experience dealing directly with the public

  • Current Driver Licence

  • Good knowledge of parking provisions preferred

  • Physically capable of carrying out the demands of patrolling (including on foot) for long periods

  • Willingness to undertake a Police check
