About the role
Looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our Local Council Fleet and Logistics Team in Kirrawee, NSW. This is a full-time casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a skilled Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles, contributing to the high standards of Local Council.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnose, service and repair a variety of Council Fleet - From Light to Heavy Vehicles and plant Operators
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections
- Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Communicate effectively within a team
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy and well-organised
What we're looking for
- Formal automotive qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Experience as a qualified Mechanic, ideally 2+ years
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
