About the role

Looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our Local Council Fleet and Logistics Team in Kirrawee, NSW. This is a full-time casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a skilled Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles, contributing to the high standards of Local Council.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose, service and repair a variety of Council Fleet - From Light to Heavy Vehicles and plant Operators
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections
• Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Communicate effectively within a team
• Maintain detailed records of work carried out
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy and well-organised

What we're looking for

• Formal automotive qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
• Experience as a qualified Mechanic, ideally 2+ years
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
