  • Temporary assignment with the opportunity to go permanent 
  • Local government role 
  • Close to public transport & shopping precinct
  • 8:30am to 04:30pm - Monday to Friday 
  • Hourly Rate $35 - $37 + Super

Your Role:

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake front counter responsibilities to ensure transactions are processed in a timely, accurate and effective manner. 
  • Answering all incoming customer calls/chats in a friendly, professional and efficient manner including conducting follow up/outbound calls and emails as required.
  • Dealing with enquiries, complaints, and requests for information or services by clarifying customer needs and responding appropriately to the requirements of each customer.
  • Interpreting Council policies and providing appropriate advice in relation to Local Government town planning, building surveying, engineering, waste, traffic, rates and accounts receivable, law enforcement, and environmental health matters.
  • Accurately record customer requests in the CRM system. 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Computer literacy, demonstrating experience in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Well-developed verbal & written communication skills including the ability to prepare short correspondence.
  • Effective problem solving & conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and independently.
  • Fluency in a second language is desirable.

COVID-19 Vaccination certification: The successful candidate for this position will be required to provide evidence of their double vaccination status, or a valid medical contraindication certificate, prior to the department finalising the appointment of the candidate.
